• Background location is collected only when you explicitly enable the Live Location Sharing feature. This allows your location to continue being shared while the app is minimized or running in the background until you stop sharing or the sharing session ends.
• We do not collect background location continuously or without your knowledge. It is only collected when you explicitly enable the Live Location Sharing feature.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including searches, bookings, device information, crash reports, and app performance data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process your bookings and payments
• Send you booking confirmations and updates
• Provide customer support
• Improve our services and user experience
• Prevent fraud and ensure security

• Bus operators involved in your booking
• Payment processors such as Paystack
• Service providers who assist us in operating our platform

When you use the Live Location Sharing feature, your location is shared only with people you choose through the generated tracking link or with services necessary to provide that feature.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Location Permissions

The Makeigo app requests location permissions to support features such as Live Location Sharing.

Background location is used only after you deliberately start sharing your live location and allows your location to continue updating while the app is in the background. You can stop sharing at any time, after which background location collection ends.

You may also disable location permissions through your device settings, although some features may no longer function correctly.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information,including encrypted communications, secure authentication, and controlled access to personal data, using:
